Rizhao starts construction of CRC line

China’s Shandong Iron & Steel Company has begun building the 2,030mm cold rolling mill at its new Rizhao steelworks on 6 July, according to local media monitored by Kallanish. The first phase is designed to have a 1.6 million tonnes/year cold rolled coil line and a 400,000 t/y hot dip galvanizing line. The complex, built by Baosteel’s Baoye Metallurgical Group, will eventually have 2.8m t/y of finished product capacity.
