Rising costs, lower prices hit Outokumpu's bottom line
Finnish stainless steel specialist Outokumpu has produced an “… operationally solid quarter” in the first quarter of 2018, the company says in a results summary sent to Kallanish. Despite this, earnings fell year-on-year due to a combination of rising costs for raw materials and lower realised prices.
