Rio Tinto loses Pilbara output, Canada recovers
The second-quarter operations report sent by RioTinto to Kallanish on 16 July confirms that tropical cyclone Veronica affected the company's iron ore shipments in the period, especially in April this year. Although Rio's iron ore shipments in Q2 rebounded by 24% compared to the first quarter, they remained down -3% year-on-year.
