Rio Tinto, Baowu cooperate on carbon emissions reduction
Iron ore major Rio Tinto tells Kallanish that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China’s Baowu steel group “… to develop to develop and implement new methods to reduce carbon emissions and improve environmental performance across the steel value chain,” the miner says. China’s Tsinghua University is also a partner in the initiative.
