RINL posts record steel output, sales amid privatisation
Rashtriya Ispat Nigam (RINL) clocked its July crude steel production at 258,124 tonnes and liquid steel at 266,127t. The company’s saleable steel output rose 38% on-year to 540,800t against 390,500t last year, Kallanish notes.
RINL’s total sales during April-July grew 48% on-year to 1.58 million tonnes. The company exported 461,000t of steel during the period and domestic sales soared 77% to 1.12mt.
