RINL, NMDC ink iron ore supply pact
State-run steel plant RINL has signed a long-term iron ore supply agreement with NMDC. As per the agreement, RINL envisages taking 10 million tonnes/year of iron ore from NMDC, totalling about 25% of the latter’s total yearly production, Kallanish notes.
RINL says it uses the best quality of iron ore for the production of its super-quality steel products and this agreement ensures its supply of vital raw materials.
