Red October ramps up stainless steel output
Russia’s Red October (Krasny Oktyabr) saw stainless steel output inch up on-year in the first quarter to 5,788 tonnes, according to the country's Special Steel association (USSA).
The Volgograd-based stainless steelmaker produced 3,826t of long and 1,962t of flat products of nickel and chromium bearing steel grades.
The plant accounted for more than 25.8% of all stainless long and flat products produced in Russia in Q1.
