Red October produces structural steel for Russian navy
Russia’s Red October (Krasny Oktyabr) plant has successfully produced reworking shaped and rectangular billet from hull steel, which will be used in the construction of military ships for Russia’s navy, the company says.
The firm, together with the Prometheus research institute, which deals with structural materials and is part of the Kurchatov Institute, previously developed a technology for manufacturing rectangular and shaped blanks.
