Red October increases steel production in August
Production at Russia’s Red October (Krasny Oktyabr) increased in August, the company says. It amounted to 25,500 tonnes, up by 11% on-year, Kallanish notes.
The Volgograd-based steelmaker produced 3,500t of stainless steel in August, up by 14% on-month. Carbon steel long products output amounted to 17,700t. Flat products of nickel and chromium bearing steel grades output rose 2.5% to 2,500t. Around 3,000t of steel were exported.
