Red October increases efficiency with mill upgrade
Russia’s Krasny Oktyabr (Red October) stainless plant has implemented a major project to upgrade and restore production equipment at mill 1150, Kallanish notes.
The blooming plant has been modernised in the large-size swaging shop. Among the tasks of the repair is an increase in the throughput of the mill, the rate and process of rolling, production indicators, as well as improving the quality of the metal and reducing scrap, the enterprise claims.
