Raspadskaya's coal mine revenue falls in Q1
Russian coking coal miner Raspadskaya, part of Evraz, has seen its revenue decline in the first quarter by 20% year-on-year to RUB 7 billion ($75 million). Profitability decreased to RUB 2.1 billion compared with RUB 3.7 billion in the first quarter of 2023, Kallanish notes.
The volume of production of raw coal of all grades in 2023 amounted to 18.9 million tonnes, down by 12% on-year. Sales volume was 14.5mt of coal products against 14.2mt in 2022.
