Qatar Steel 2016 rebar sales fall, rod increases
Qatar Steel (Qasco)’s rebar sales dropped -8% on-year in 2016 to QAR 4.18 billion ($1.15 billion), but wire rod sales surged 23% to QAR 291.55 million.
Billet sales fell -57% on-year in 2016 to QAR 127m and direct reduced iron/hot-briquetted iron sales halved to QAR 92.55m.
