Putin orders halt on Azovstal attack
Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered an end to the direct attack on the Azovstal metallurgical plant, part of Metinvest, in Mariupol, where about 2,000 Ukrainian soldiers and civilians have barricaded themselves, Kallanish notes.
Russian defence Minister Shoigu told Putin on state tv at Thursday that Mariupol has been “liberated” and Azovstal is “securely blocked."
