PSM mulls independent fabrication unit, coke tolling

Idled Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) is mulling the creation of independent units to undertake steel fabrication for the power sector, as well as China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) sub-contracting. Besides these issues, PSM’s board also discussed at a recent meeting in Islamabad the possibility of producing coke on a tolling basis, with raw materials providers to be selected through competitive bidding. This would generate some liquidity using PSM’sā€¦
