Malmström signals mid-July for provisional safeguard measures
European trade commissioner Cecilia Malmström confirmed in a press conference this week that provisional trade safeguard measures could come into force in the EU from mid-July. The measures are linked to the ongoing investigation over the potential increase in imports of steel products into Europe as a result of the US Section 232 tariffs, Kallanish notes.
