Primetals upgrades Gerdau production process
Brazilian long steel producer Gerdau has placed an order for Primetals’ “Manufacturing Execution System (MES)” for its Ouro Branco integrated plant meltshop in Minas Gerais.
The new equipment will replace an existing system, which offers only limited upgrade options after several years of operation. The project will be executed by Primetals Technologies in cooperation with PSI Metals, the technology supplier tells Kallanish.
