Primetals bags converter order from Cap Acero
Primetals Technologies has won a new order from Chile’s Compania Siderurgica Huachipato (Cap Acero), the steel plant and equipment supplier tells Kallanish. It has been contracted to replace an LD converter at Cap Acero’s plant in Talcahuano.
The current LD (BOF) converter has reached the end of its life after 40 years, Primetals says. It is responsible for the detail engineering of the new converter vessel and the trunnion ring. The scope of supply …
