Primetals bags stainless steel mill order from Walsin
Steel industry technology supplier Primetals Technologies tells Kallanish that it has been contracted by China’s Walsin Yantai Stainless Steel Co. Ltd. to design and manufacture a new stainless steel combination mill.
This will convert billets from an existing plant into finished products with precision tolerance and surface quality, London-headquartered Primetals says. In-line-processing will lower production costs and start-up is expected in late 2020.
