Imports, pricing hurt Essar Steel Algoma's June quarter performance
"Illegally-dumped" plate imports have been wreaking havoc on the North American market, according to Essar Steel Algoma president and ceo Kaylan Ghosh. Downward pricing pressure from these imports negatively impacted the company’s performance in its fiscal quarter through June (FQ1).
