Posco produces less but revises up output guidance

South Korean steelmaker Posco reported 9.45 million tonnes of crude steel output in the second quarter, down 1.15% on-quarter but up 21% year-on-year, Kallanish notes. Although crude steel output was impacted by maintenance, Q2 finished steel production and sales stood at 9.02mt and 8.999mt respectively, up 1.12% and 2% q-o-q.
