Posco output and sales rebound
South Korea's Posco saw production and sales rebound in the third quarter, according to its latest earnings release. That helped the company boost operating profits for the quarter, Kallanish notes.
Posco produced 9.489 million tonnes of crude steel in Q3, down -0.59% year-on-year but up 21.9% from Q2. That was the result of Posco restarting blast furnace No.3 at its Gwangyang Plant on 10 July. Finished steel output, meanwhile, was down -1.49% y-o-y and up 13.…
