Port Kembla gets tax break
Australia’s Bluescope has been offered A$60 million ($44m) in payroll tax relief over three years by the New South Wales government for its Port Kembla steelworks. The move brings the company closer to the A$200m in annual savings it is targeting in order to keep steelmaking going at the plant, Kallanish notes.
