Port Hedland's January iron ore shipments grow on-year
Australia’s Port Hedland increased its iron ore shipments year-on-year in January, Kallanish notes. The Pilbara, Western Australian shipping terminal saw cargoes fall back significantly however from the record volume shipped in December 2017.
January cargoes to China upticked very slightly on-year with shipments grossing 34,654,634 tonnes compared to 34,488,616t during the same month in 2017.
