Port Hedland October iron ore shipments hold up

Following two strong months, iron ore shipments from Port Hedland in Western Australia’s Pilbara dipped a little in October but remained healthy, according to statistics released by the Port Authority and monitored by Kallanish. Exports to China were above 35 million tonnes for the third successive month. October cargoes to China slipped back to 35,026,242 tonnes from 35,542,504t in September.
