Port Hedland January iron ore shipments dip month-on-month
Australia’s Port Hedland saw iron ore exports dip month-on-month although rise slightly year-on-year in January, Kallanish notes. Cargoes to China followed the same pattern.
Cargoes to China from Port Hedland in January were 35,140,885 tonnes versus 37,368,927t in December. Average daily shipments to China were 1,133,577t in the month. Both values are around the respective monthly average figures for 2018.
