Port Hedland iron ore shipments recover in April
Australia’s Port Hedland saw iron ore exports recover month-on-month in April as the port recovered shipments delayed by the cyclones in March, Kallanish notes. Total volumes despatched rose to the highest of the year so far.
Cargoes to China from Port Hedland in April were 34,618,007 tonnes versus 30,678,843 tonnes in March or 12.8% up. Average daily shipments to China were 1,153,934t versus 969,840t in March and 1204,956t in April 2018.
