Pittini inaugurates new wire rod line in Verona
Italian long products' maker Pittini has officially started production at its new high-speed wire rod mill at the Verona site, acquired in 2015 from the Riva group, Kallanish notes.
The new line can produce 750,000 tonnesyear of plain wire rod of diameters in the range 5.5-25mm and rebar from 6-18mm at rolling speeds of 100 metres/second. The mill, supplied by Danieli, is also equipped with a new artificial intelligence system, used …
