Peruvian iron ore production ramps up in July
Peru saw iron ore production sharply increase on-month in July after the resumption of mining activities following the Covid-19 crisis. January-July output, however, remained weak on-year.
Both Shougang Hierro Perú and its joint venture with China’s Baiyin Nonferrous Metals Group, Minera Shouxin Perú (MSP), are expected to adjust their output to the “new normal”.
