Peru's sole iron ore producer Shougang Hierro Peru (SHP) workers have ended their 20-day strike, Kallanish learns from a statement issued by the company.

This was possible after the management and representative of the miners’ union Sindicato de Obreros Mineros de SHP successfully resolved  their labour differences over the new collective agreement, SHP says.

SHP declined to comment about the possible losses and impact of the strike on its iron production and exports.

The national strike was supported by 800 workers at SHP and the Port of San Juan de Marcona.
