Peru`s SHP declares force majeure on miners' strike
Miners at Peru's sole iron ore producer Shougang Hierro Peru (SHP) began an indefinite strike on 22 October, Kallanish learns from a statement issued by the company. The management and representative of the miners’ union Sindicato de Obreros Mineros de SHP have held a meeting but negotiations to resolve the ongoing labour issues have not been successful, SHP says.
