Peru`s SHP completes Marcona mine expansion
Shougang Hierro Peru (SHP), the South American country’s sole iron ore producer, has completed the second part of the expansion plan at its Marcona mine. SHP expects to launch its new production as from the beginning of 2019. This will follow an operational test period in the coming months, general manager Raul Vera La Torre said during the opening ceremony monitored by Kallanish.
