Peru’s May iron ore output falls on-month
Peruvian iron ore production fell on-month in May. Output was also weaker compared to the same period of 2021, Kallanish notes.
The country's iron ore output surpassed 1 million tonnes in May for the third consecutive month. According to the latest Peruvian mines and energy ministry (Minem) report, output was 1.02mt in the month.
This volume was 7.7% less over April and 3.7% down compared to 1.06mt in May 2021.
