Peru’s March iron ore output reaches five-month high
Peruvian iron ore production rose both on-month and on-year in March, Kallanish notes.
The country's iron ore output surpassed the 1-million tonne level in March for the first time since October 2021 when production exceeded 1.19mt. According to the latest Peruvian mines and energy ministry (Minem) report, output was 1.13mt in March.
This volume was up 29.3% over February and 38.3% more compared to 814,678t in the corresponding month in 2021.
