Peru’s iron ore output remains stable in August
Peruvian iron ore production fell month-on-month in August, although insignificantly. Output, however, was higher year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
Iron ore output reached 1.22 million tonnes in the month. This was down just 775 tonnes versus July but up 17.5% compared with 1.04mt in August 2022, according to the latest Peruvian mines and energy ministry (Minem) report.
