Peru’s December ore output hits all-time high
Peru saw iron ore production rise in December to an all-time high, Kallanish notes.
According to the latest Peruvian mines and energy ministry (Minem) report, production reached 1,504,516 tonnes during the month, up 1.8% over November and 99.4% more year-on-year. This volume was the highest produced by the country since the 1.19 million tonnes in October 2021 and was extracted solely by SHP, since its joint venture with China’s Baiyin Nonferrous Metals Group…
