Peru increases iron ore output in 2019
Peru ended 2019 by having increased its iron ore production year-on-year. The country also registered an improved performance in December alone, according to the latest mines and energy ministry (MEM) data monitored by Kallanish.
“The country’s iron production growth in December was supported by the higher output of Shougang Hierro Perú after the expansion of its CPS1 mining unit in Marcona,” MEM says.
