Paul Wurth revamps BF3 at JSW's Vijayanagar works
JSW Steel has contracted Paul Wurth to upgrade blast furnace no.3 at its Vijayanagar steelworks in Toranagallu, Karnataka, Kallanish learns from the technology provider.
The work will include installation of new carbon blocks, copper and cast iron staves and a completely new shell. Modification and reinforcement of the existing furnace tower will be made in order to match the increased furnace volume as well as the erection loads.
