Pangang restarts No.3 blast furnace
The Pangang Group has completed the refurbishment of its No.3 blast furnace and the furnace has officially resumed operations, Kallanish notes.
The 2,000-cubic-metre blast furnace has 1.7 million tonnes/year of ironmaking capacity. Pangang began the refurbishment on 11 November 2019. The work is intended to upgrade the efficiency of coke input and iron tapping. Pangang owns four blast furnaces, with total volume of 5,030m³.
