Pakistani re-rollers further hike prices amid feedstock shortage
Dollar shortage-induced delayed financing has made imports into Pakistan of hot rolled coil and other raw materials difficult, thereby forcing local re-rollers to consecutively hike their downstream flat steel prices.
Mills have raised their cold rolled coil quotes by PKR 15,000/tonne ($55.97), effective 10 February. This follows the price increase of PKR 15,000/t on 4 February and the previous hike of PKR 20,000/t done on 30 January, Kallanish notes.
