Pakistani cold roller sales surge despite imports influx
International Steels Limited (ISL) reported a 35% on-year growth in sales of prime products in the fiscal year through June 2017 (FY17) to 491,000 tonnes. This was thanks to the removal of a bottleneck at its pickling line and despite the influx of low-priced imports from Russia and China, the Pakistani firm says.
Of this tonnage, 300,000t was hot-dip galvanized coil and 191,000t cold rolled coil.
