Ovako majorly lowers hot rolled bar alloy/scrap surcharges
Swedish engineering steel specialist Ovako has reduced four and raised two of its six alloying element surcharges for hot rolled bar for April in a similar pattern to that for March. The surcharge for vanadium falls again for the third consecutive month. The company has lowered its scrap surcharge slightly however for the upcoming month, following its surge in March, Kallanish notes.
