Ovako lowers most alloy/scrap surcharges, vanadium surge continues
Swedish engineering steel specialist Ovako has reduced four and raised two of its six alloying element surcharges for hot rolled bar for January. That for vanadium is strongly increased again for the sixth month in a row and for the tenth out of the last 12 months. The company has lowered its scrap surcharge for the upcoming month, Kallanish notes.
