Ovako lowers alloy and scrap surcharges for August
Swedish engineering steel specialist Ovako has reduced its six alloying element surcharges for hot rolled bar for August in a move broadly similar to both those in June and July. The surcharge for vanadium falls again for the seventh consecutive month and again quite heavily. The company has also lowered its scrap surcharge for August following the previous reductions for June and July, Kallanish notes.
