Ovako alloy/scrap surcharges majorly rise
Swedish engineering steel specialist Ovako has reduced two and raised four of its six alloying element surcharges for hot rolled bar for May in a mirror image to that of April. The surcharge for vanadium falls again for the fourth consecutive month. The company has raised its scrap surcharge for May by slightly more than it had lowered it in April, Kallanish notes.
