Ovako alloy/scrap surcharges majorly rise for January
Swedish engineering steel specialist Ovako has reduced four of its six alloying element surcharges for hot rolled bar for January. The only two risers are chromium and silicon. The company’s scrap surcharge for January has risen fairly sharply again however after it had also surged in December, Kallanish notes.
