Outokumpu advances towards carbon neutrality target
Outokumpu says it is moving ahead further with its project to reach carbon neutrality by joining a three-year research programme with other metal industries and universities in Finland.
The programme, named Towards Carbon Neutral Metals (TOCANEM), is funded by Business Finland, Kallanish understands. Outokumpu is aiming to reach carbon neutrality by 2050 and is on target to cut CO2 emissions by 20% by 2023, the company notes.
