Only China, US increase 2019 scrap consumption: BIR
Ferrous scrap consumption soared by 15% on-year in China in 2019 to 215.93 million tonnes. The proportion of steel scrap used in the country’s steel production climbed to 21.7%, says the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR).
