October construction index rebounds
The American Institute of Architects’ billings index reversed course in October after two consecutive months of decline, Kallanish reports.
The index rose from 48.4 in September to 50.8 in October. Readings above 50 generally indicate growth in the relationship between architectural billings and construction spending.
August and September's contractions were the first such consecutive contractions in the past four years.
