Nucor, SDI hike SBQ base prices
Nucor and Steel Dynamics Inc plan to increase base prices for special bar quality (SBQ) products on 1 September.
Kallanish reports that both Nucor and Steel Dynamics will increase base pricing on SBQ carbon and alloy (excluding grade 1215) shapes and sizes by $50/short ton. The increase was originally floated in late July.
All applicable surcharges will continue to apply.
