NSSMC sees results improve in first half
Japan’s Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) reports a JPY 28.01 billion ($267 million) profit in the first half of the financial year starting April 2016, recovering from a JPY 12 billion loss in its first quarter. The steelmaker expects demand to steadily recover in the remaining six months of the year, Kallanish notes.
